Gateway to 10’th Grade Objectives: 9’th graders in MMC, this quarter is all about demonstrating that you are ready, and completing the required work, for entrance into the 10th grade. By meeting the expectations of this syllabus, the Advisory, and the school for work and behavior you will be proving that you have moved beyond 9’th grade expectations.
At least two Independent Reading Books Completed each trimester with evidence of Directed Notes, Journal Entries, or Book Review. Annotated Bibliography begun.

SUBMITTING WORK:
ALL WORK IS DUE ON THE FRIDAY OF EACH WEEK. PLEASE PUT THE WORK IN MIKE’S TURN IN BASKET. Additionally, in order to meet the coming State Portfolio Requirements, students must have an organized portfolio with copies of all work. They must also save all electronic work to their Z-Drive and/or BPOL Portfolio. At the end of each week, students should review their work, check off each completed piece, and highlight any missing work.

Students you have been given your syllabus. I will not remind you of any of the work that is due on the syllabus. It is your responsibility to use your super-calendar and Excel Sheet to plan.
The work on the syllabus will be done in conjunction with your LTI project and any additional work that I may assign during the quarter.
The work should be completed during IWT and as homework.
I have emailed this syllabus to all staff in the building. They are aware that you should always have work to complete.
